Babies have started arriving!  Please read this then scroll down for kids for sale.

Kids are dam raised when possible.  Kids are kept on the dam or bottle fed for a minimum of 12 weeks, bucks are weaned at that time.  Does and wethers are left from 12 weeks until they are sold.  This is to give them the best chance at growing into healthy adults.

Kids will recive their CD & T shots before leaving the farm.  The vaccination helps prevent overeating disease and tetnus infection.  Moving to a new home is stressful and I want their immune system to be as strong as possible.

All kids are started on alfalfa hay, weed browse, grain in the form of Purina Goat Chow, a probiotic feed supplement called fastrack, and goat minerals.  This will ready them to eat well and be healthy in their new homes with as little stress as possible.

Fainting goat kids will either be registered or registerable with the IFGA.  They will be sent with all pertinent paperwork.

All bucks not considered herd sire quality will be wethered between 6-8 weeks of age.  I am really picky and constantly monitor the boys for those I think will make good herdsires.  They will be wethered even later if a buck isn't growing out to expectation.

Kids will be sent to their new homes with kid care packets.  This will include information about the breed, information about the IFGA, and care for your goats.   A sample of their grain and fastrack will be sent with them.  The feed will help them adjust to a new home with different feed.  If you currently own fainters or other goats you may not want all the information, but feed samples will be sent with the kid.

The breeding herd has been tested for CAE, CL, and Johnes.  If you would like your kid tested before it leaves the farm this can be done at the buyers expense.

All kids will be disbudded unless requested by buyer to be left with horns.  After much research and weighing pros and cons I have decided while I like the look of horns very much, it is much safer for goats living in close proximity to people, especially small children, to have their horn growth stopped.

There is a non-refundable $50 deposit on kids, deposit is not accepted until kids are born.  Only in the event that something should happen to a reserved kid, for example death due to an unforseen weakness at birth, will the deposit be returned or transferred to another kid.  Kids are not released from the farm until until final payment and the seller is present.  I will only take checks before final pickup, if a balance is left on the kid at final pickup this must be paid with cash.

I retain the right to first choice of kids to be retained for the herd.

Does for sale:  Below are any does for sale,  if you would like to be placed on the waiting list for the next round of babies contact me.  How it works is I put you name in the order I recieve it on my list.  After kidding I start at the top of the list and work my way down.  I don't take deposits before kids are born so people on the list may or may not still be interested.  If I run out of people before goats the goats will be placed here.  If I run out of goats before people I ask those still on the list if they would like to remain there for the next round of kids to be born.

Wethers for sale:  Wethers are bucks that didn't make the cut to become herd sires.  You may be wondering what good are they then.  Wethers make wonderful pets, they are like having an outside dog only much cooler.  Many people spend time with them just as they would a dog including taking them places and walking them.  Wethers also make wonderful companions for the otherwise lonely goat.  No goat likes to be alone so a wether can provide companionship for say a buck who is only used once or twice a year.
