A two-fer
Here are links for more information on fainting goats or other breeders in the area who have their own sites and may have what you are looking for. These are breeders that I know personally. There are more who do not have their own website, if you would like the e-mail addresses of these breeders to contact them about what goats they have avaliable drop me an e-mail. You can also take a look at the IFGA website, there is a breeders directory there.
The IFGA
Wild Rose Acres, Robin, who I got Tanner from.
Way To Me, Jody, the nicest lady who answers all my questions, who I got Calypso from.
Krolls Hilly Acres, Pam, who I bought Alexis, and Christy from.
Painted Meadows Ranch, Tanya, waiting for fall for a doeling trade.
Mystical Spirits, Kim, who I bought Desiree, Tipsy, and Mia from.
Brassring Farm, Lisa, who scoures the hills of Tenneessee for the perfect nervous goat for anyone who asks.
OverEZ Acres, Cheryl, who I bought Cochise and Sterling from.
If you would like to connect with other local Nebraska goat breeders consider joining the Nebraska Dairy Goat Association. You do not have to own dairy goats to join this fun laid back group.
These are a couple of goat supply companies that I have used.
Caprine Supply I really like caprine and all they sell is goat products.
Jeffers Livestock I find Jeffers a little hard to navigate because their site is so big, but they have some good supplies.
A place to go to talk to other goat people:
The Goatweb Coffeeshop
Places with goat breeders directories and/or goat classified ads.
GoatWorld
GOATWORLD.COM - BUY, SELL, TRADE, LEARN, TEACH, CARE
GoatFinder
GoatSeeker
GoatLinks
GoatShopper
GoatGetter
Books I have found helpful in addition to asking fellow breeders tons of questions:
Your Goats, A Kids Guide to Raising and Showing, Damerow, Gail It's a kids book so things are presented simply and easy to understand.
The New Goat Handbook, Jaudas, Ulrich This one is a little more in depth on topics and has nice pictures.
Caprine Supply's Goatkeeping 101, Keblinger, Cathie et. all This book presents topics and dicusses them through the personal experiences of breeders.
Storey's Guide to Raising Dairy Goats, Belanger, Jerry This book is about dairy gotas, but has some good general goatkeeping information.
Making Money with Goats, Winslow, Ellie This is a good goat resource. I had the opportunity to hear Ms. Winslow speak and she is very informative. More of her work can be found at her site, beyondthesidewalk
No wonder this pen goes through water so fast.
